In 1967, Delbert Kilgas and Dick Elmore started Excel Tool Inc. in a small building the heart of downtown Seymour, IN. After a few years of production in that facility, they relocated to a new facility within the Freeman Field Industrial Park on the city's west side of town. The company stayed under one entity until 1995. In 1995, Delbert and his son Brent opened a new facility called Excel Manufacturing Inc within the Eastside Industrial Park in Seymour, IN. This new venture solely focuses on CNC Precision Machining and Assembly.
